Paint Rejuvenation
Most of what comes through our Wairau Valley workshop, just off Glenfield on Auckland's North Shore, is the small stuff that happens to every car. These are the jobs we see week in, week out:
Stone chips on the bonnet, front bumper and mirrors from motorway driving, filled with colour-matched paint so they stop catching your eye and stop letting water in.
Scuffs and scrapes on the bumper from parking, kerbs and tight spots, repaired and blended back into the original paint.
Those little scuffs under the front bumper or lip from judder bars and steep driveways.
A bumper corner that's brushed past a wall, a pole or another car in a car park.
Another car's paint left on yours after a light touch. Sometimes it lifts off with careful polishing; where it has gone through, we repair and refinish the area.
Factory paint is applied through atomisation, so it lands as a thin, uneven layer that often varies in thickness across the panel. Paint protection film is different: a uniform urethane sheet bonded over that paint, engineered to absorb and spread the force of a chip instead of letting it cut through.
Premium Paint & Colour Matching
Premium waterborne paint, professional sanding and polishing systems, and spectrometer colour matching, so the repair disappears into the original paint.

We will repair the paint and apply the vinyl in-house.
Most bumper scuffs and scrapes can be repaired and refinished, which is faster and cheaper than replacing the bumper. We'll advise honestly if replacement is the better option.
For minor cosmetic damage, paying privately is often cheaper than your excess and avoids affecting your no-claims bonus. We provide private, non-insurance repairs only.
A stone chip is a small impact crater, often down to the primer, usually on the bonnet and front bumper. A scratch is a line cut into the clear coat or deeper. A scuff is a surface rub or paint transfer that can often be polished or touched out. Each needs a different repair approach.
Many cracked plastic bumpers can be repaired and refinished. Severe cracking or broken mounts may need a replacement part.
Yes. Where a small dent has marked, chipped or cracked the paint, we repair and refinish the area so it blends in with the original paint. Send a few photos through the quote form and we'll tell you what's possible.
Yes. We fill and colour-match stone chips so they disappear, and can add paint protection film afterwards to prevent new chips.
Not usually. Light scratches can often be polished out, and deeper scratches can be spot-repaired and blended rather than repainting the whole door.
Yes — bumper scuffs, scrapes and paint transfer from car-park knocks are what we fix every day, colour-matched and usually without an insurance claim. Send photos through the quote form for a fast estimate.
